Featured journalist: Elisabeth Ponsot

We'd like to start off this week by featuring Elisabeth Ponsot, a Multimedia Editor at PBS NewsHour Weekend. Also a manager of things social at NewsHour, Ponsot is a self-described "Queens girl living in Brooklyn" who covers all things politics: everything from energy to LGBT rights to health care to immigration issues.

Ponsot is also in possession of several accolades, two of which (a Scripps Howard Award and an Online News Association award) were awarded for her work on “Pipeline,” a news website dedicated to explaining the economic, environmental and political effects of the natural gas industry's Marcellus Shale drilling. Impressive stuff.

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
