Featured journalist: Jefferson Graham

Mar 12, 2014

Today we are pleased to feature Jefferson Graham, a longtime technology columnist for USA TODAY and the host/producer of the "Talking Tech" and "Talking Your Tech" web series. Graham also happens to be a portrait photographer and the author of 9 books, including the recently released "Video Nation: A DIY Guide to Planning, Shooting and Sharing Great Video."

He got his start, however, as a general assignment reporter for the Glendale News-Press in Glendale, California, simply because he "loved reading and writing." If he could give any advice to aspiring journalists out there, it would be this: "Blog--there are zillions of avenues for you, and not as many doors to break down. Be proficient in photography, video and editing." Be sure to stop by Graham's portfolio for a sampling of his web series, which includes gems like "Brian Williams is a 'hopeless nerd.'"

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
