NYT tech reporter moving to Upshot

New York Times tech reporter Claire Cain Miller will soon join NYT's web-only operation The Upshot. You may recognize Miller's byline from her front-page article on Google's struggle to retain talent, one that allegedly provoked a Google spokeswoman to demand Miller be taken off the tech beat. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and now we can look forward to even better in-depth coverage from her!

"The newest member of Team Upshot is the great @clairecm, author of some of the savviest stories about tech & Silicon Valley in recent years," tweeted Upshot builder David Leonhardt.

"Many thanks, @DLeonhardt -- I'm so excited to be joining the Upshot and to be a part of this new venture and awesome team at the NYT!" Miller replied, then added, "I'll still be covering tech but from a different POV - the way it shapes our economy & culture. I'll also be covering gender, work & family!"
