In news no one truly wanted to hear, objects have been spotted in the Indian Ocean that may be debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, CNN reports. Carl Lavin there tweets, "Two objects spotted by satellite could be from the plane or a shipping container or ?. Merchant ship is near." Nothing is for certain at the moment, but The Washington Post also had that story, with Simon Denyer there pointing out, "Australia spots objects possibly tied to jetliner, calls it 'credible', but rain hampers air search effort." Also hot on the trail was NBC News, where Lou Dubois pointed out this was "'The best lead we have' in the search for flight."
Also at CNN, journalists ask, "If this is the debris of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, what happens next?" while at the Mirror headlines scream "Specialist says 'debris find' off Australian coast would CONFIRM human intervention." The next few hours will bring either more answers or increased confusion.
