In a stunning mistake, the New York Post incorrectly identified a body found in a shallow grave on Rockaway beach as former Nets player Quinton Ross. A man by the name of Quinton Ross was indeed found dead, but it wasn't the NBA player. "That former #Nets player found dead in a shallow grave? Yeah, not so much. @nypost had that way wrong," Mashable's Brian Ries tweeted. Washington Post's Mark Berman spoke for us all when he tweeted, "Good. Lord."

In other big, breaking news about the news, Ben Richardson has quit Bloomberg News over the handling of that China investigative pieceBen Welsh with the LA Times filled in the blanks: "Bloomberg reporter who quit after spike from above suggests non-profits may have to fill investigative gap in China."

And on a much more positive note, Karen Tumulty of The Washington Post just won the Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting. "Thrilled and honored," she tweeted.
