The Marshall Project names Gabriel Dance as managing editor

Big announcement on the job news front: Award-winning interactive editor Gabriel Dance of The Guardian's U.S. operation will soon join The Marshall Project as managing editor in charge of digital journalism.

Guardian's Heidi Moore noted, "@gabrieldance collects journalism awards the way some people collect stamps. (Also a wonderful colleague)."

On his own account, Dance shared, "very excited to be joining @billkeller2014 as managing editor at @MarshallProj ... focusing on US crime and punishment."

"The Marshall Project may not be the sexiest big new online news startup, but I think it could have the biggest impact," Nieman Lab's Joshua Benton observed.
