RIP Mickey Rooney

Late last night, news came out that Mickey Rooney had died at 93. Brian Ferguson from The Scotsman wrote Rooney “was half-Scottish through his Glasgow-born father Joe Yule.”

In their obit, the New York Times wrote: A Master of Putting On a Show Dies at 93. Danielle Ivory there admitted she’s “Humming the soundtrack of Pete's Dragon to myself.” Timothy Noah at MSNBC said, “Some young talented amateurs should give you a makeshift, high-spirited backyard memorial service.” Brian Resnick at National Journal tweeted this quote from the piece: “He attacked life as though it were a six-course dinner.”
