Today in politics

Apr 08, 2014

Ben Smith at Buzzfeed has a good piece on why Jeb Bush is a terrible candidate. Politico's Alex Burns summarized, "@BuzzFeedBen on Jeb: 'This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I've ever seen' (basically)."

And from The Smoking Gun we learn that Al Sharpton appears to have worked as an FBI informant. "This is a fascinating story, and makes me like Sharpton a lot more," The Verge's Russell Brandom admitted.

Meanwhile, the New York Times points out that even as Obama spotlights the gender gap in wages, his own payroll draws scrutiny. As NYT's Claire Cain Miller explained, "turns out his own White House pays women 88 cents for every dollar it pays men."
