Elsewhere, the New York Times writes: Still Talking About It: ‘Where Are the Women?’ Peggy Lowe with the Orange County Register wrote, “After 30 years, we're still asking where the women writers are in journalism.” Anousha Sakoui with Bloomberg News said, “At three major papers and four newspaper syndicates, male opinion-page writers outnumber female writers four to one.” Micheline Maynard with Curbing Cars tweeted, “Writes @Sulliview: 69% of @nytimes bylines are from men.”

And over on Prospect.org, go ahead and read through Gabriel Arana’s The Unbearable Whiteness of Liberal Media. Andrea Bernstein with WNYC said, “40% of the U.S. is non-white. But only 10% of staff at publications tallied by@theprospect is non-white.” Amanda Terkel at the Huffington Post wrote: “Also why I found it so frustrating when folks complained abt inexperienced bloggers who didn't have proper ‘training.’” Juana Summers from NPR tweeted this quote from the piece: "If you care about a diverse newsroom, you need to constantly be looking down the pipeline."
