LA Times writer departs for KPCC

Los Angeles Times staff writer John Horn has bid adieu to the print side in favor of broadcast: Horn will host a soon-to-be-named program with KPCC.

"After an amazing 12 years at the LA Times, I have joined @KPCC to host the public radio station's new daily entertainment and culture show," Horn tweeted.

"Very shrewd of @KPCC to hire @JGHorn away from @LATimes," deduced Chicago Tribune's Phil Rosenthal.

At the LA Times, show business reporter Daniel Miller lamented Horn's loss: "Congrats to KPCC-bound @JGHorn, who'll be missed for, among other things, his famous Orochon order (level 4, xtra noodles)."

The show will first launch as a podcast this June before joining the airwaves the following fall!
