David Carr discovered Medium and in his Sunday column for the New York Times wrote: A Platform and Blogging Tool, Medium Charms Writers. There’s also this tweet from him: “When I stopped to see @ev at Medium last week. he let me shoot a little vid on my phone.” Colleague John Schwartz said, “Medium: a place to write good stuff, though ‘building an audience without listicles and LOLcats is hard.’”

While covering the all-important Kimye wedding this weekend, the New York Post let out a lot of frustration with the announcement at right. Hari Sreenivasan from PBSNewsHour tweeted: “The kimye wedding summarized by the paper that has helped them become who they are.” Rui Kaneya felt differently, “Too funny. I'd have to up my NY Post intake if it keeps this up!”

The Guardian’s Alex Hern feels very passionately about one particular app and writes Why Foursquare isn't just the timeline spammer you thought it was, and should be on everyone's phone. Jake Grovum from Stateline shared his own take on the check-in service: “All I want with Foursquare is to be mayor of places and get occasion deals/free things. But that's just me.”
