Politico's Dylan Byers has the scoop that Sharyl Attkisson (who resigned from CBS News earlier this year "citing frustrations with corporate influence and political bias") has just joined The Daily Signal, a brand new "news site" just launched by conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. "Go figure," Byers concludes.

Meanwhile at Vox, Ezra Klein reveals how the American Prospect changed policy journalism. NYT's John Schwartz synopsizes, "A paean to The American Prospect and Tapped reveals the secret nexus of a vast policy/journalism/blog conspiracy."

And in Europe, Google is overwhelmed with an onslaught of requests to delete search results, reports the Financial Times. NYT's Mark Scott shared from that post, "@Google has received 41,000 #privacy requests, up from 12,000 as of Friday. That’s roughly 10,000/day." Yikes.

In the UK, Buzzfeed tells us that Nick Clegg and Vince Cable walked into a pub and things got a bit awkward.
