Mid-week media

We haven’t talked about Maureen Dowd in quite some time but she’s back this week with Don’t Harsh Our Mellow, Dude, in which the New York Times columnist eats a full pot candy bar. Kelly Cohen with the Washington Examiner tweeted this quote from the piece: “I barely made it from the desk to the bed, where i lay curled up in a hallucinatory state for the next eight hours." Emily Cohn with Huffington Post wrote, “Example no. 469,084 people aren't meant to have biweekly columns for an indefinite amount of time.”

In response to Dowd's column, Friedman’s Bad Trip appeared on Twitter to answer the question, “What if Thomas Friedman got high & wrote a column too?” Demian Bulwa from the San Francisco Chronicle called it “@sarahjeong riffing on Maureen Dowd's choco-chronic column.” Sergio Hernandez from The Week Magazine said simply, “Holy shit this is amazing.” Ryan Sutton at Bloomberg News shared, “This evening I learned about @sarahjeong's twitter account and I'm glad I did. This is the best.”
