The Wire names new editor

The Wire has a new editor at last: Dashiell Bennett, who takes the helm several months after Gabriel Snyder’s exit in January. Most recently the publication's news editor, Bennett first joined the masthead in 2011 from Business Insider, where he served as a sports writer.

"Too many tweets and emails to process right now, but thanks so much everyone. Very exciting to take over @TheWire!" Bennett tweeted.

"Slow clap for the v. talented @dashbot, who's taking the reigns as the new editor of @TheWire," responded Shanté Cosme with Complex Magazine. "Congrats my man! Well deserved."
