Moves at the Tampa Bay Times

Lots of developments at the The Tampa Bay Times! The managing editor position is filled at last: former deputy managing editor Jennifer Orsi has been named to that role.

"@Jenorsi ... who began her career as an @TB_Times intern 28 yrs ago, is the paper's new ME," revealed staff writer Peter Jamison.

"Fantastic news! @JenOrsi named Tampa Bay Times managing editor, first woman to solely hold the job," journalist Sarah Hutchins chimed in.

Meanwhile, Amy Hollyfield has been named deputy managing editor for Tampa Bay Times, PolitiFact and the Times’ Floridian magazine. She was most recently assistant managing editor for politics.

"#FF and congratulate @amy_hollyfield new deputy managing editor for politics/biz @TB_Times," colleague Ron Brackett praised.

And speaking of Brackett, the TampaBay.com deputy managing editor role for presentation and design goes to him, who previously served as assistant managing editor for presentation and design.

Here Hollyfield returned him the favor by tweeting, "#FF to @rontimes, new @TB_Times deputy managing editor for tampabay.com and presentation. Congratulate him, too."
