ARTnews gets a new editor in chief

Jun 30, 2014

ARTnews has named Sarah Douglas to its highest position, poaching her from The New York Observer where she has lately been culture editor.

Freelance journalist and columnist Georgina Adam was the first to share the news on Twitter: "Sarah Douglas is new editor in chief @ArtNewsMagazine - and other #artmarket news," Adam tweeted, adding this link.

Douglas will join the publication as previous EIC Robin Cembalest moves on to other projects.

"@georginaadam broke news of my new position- editor in chief ARTnews," Douglas responded. "Big shoes to fill, looking forward to challenge."
