We lost, but Tim Howard for prez

This twitpic of the viewing party on the soccer field (which earned 2,416 shares) shows fans were "rockin'" for yesterday's game, although it didn't help USMNT in its loss to Belgium. Still, from the ashes of vanquishment a hero emerged: US goalkeeper Tim Howard, who racked up an incredible 16 saves (the gif at right, by the way, is from 8 months ago, but still showcases his skills!)

Howard impressed viewers so much, in fact, someone actually changed the Wikipedia entry for U.S. Secretary of Defense to "Tim Howard" (which in turn earned a whopping 206,469 shares!). From the keyboard of Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales himself: "I do NOT APPROVE of vandalizing wikipedia for comedic effect. But this is exquisite."

Then someone found his year book quote, which was even more perfect. And as if that weren't enough, Wall Street Journal's Sarah Marshall gifted us with Bambi, Blockbuster and Betamax, also known as "The Best #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave Memes."
