Featured journalist: Stuart Leavenworth

Today's featured journalist is Stuart Leavenworth, Beijing Bureau Chief for McClatchy Newspapers. A journalist with more than 25 years at daily newspapers, Leavenworth started his career in Tokyo, working for the Asahi Evening News. After earning a M.S. in journalism at Columbia, he worked at papers in Louisiana, Georgia and North Carolina before joining The Sacramento Bee in 1999. After a sabbatical in 2009 working as a chef apprentice at Oliveto, an Italian restaurant in the Bay Area, he returned to The Bee as editorial page editor later that year. Quite a career!
