THR makes two senior hires

The Hollywood Reporter just made two new additions to its senior editorial staff: Bryan Bishop joins as News Director,, while Jon Frosch joins as Reviews Editor.

Most recently the Film & TV Editor at The Verge, Bishop will now oversee’s breaking news operations and is charged with expanding the site’s editorial offerings.

"I'm thrilled to share the news that I'm joining the team at The Hollywood Reporter," Bishop tweeted. "I’m already missing my brilliant friends at The Verge, but couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come," he added, followed by "Here’s a look back at some of my favorite @verge pieces I got to work on over the past few years."

"Congratulations to @bcbishop, who I am going to miss every day and oh god I’m crying again," tweet-sobbed Casey Newton back at The Verge.

Meanwhile, Frosch joins from France 24, where he served most recently as Film Editor and Critic. He will relocate from Paris and oversee THR's reviews of film, TV, music and other media.
