LeBronWatch isn't over (nor is the World Cup)

The New York Times tells us that Cleveland hopes LeBron James won't break its again (1,473 shares). Colleague Erik Piepenburg reflected, "Great piece by @powellnyt on #LeBron, heartbreak and the punching bag psychosis that is #CLE." The National's Jonathan Raymond did not agree: "Holy crap. This NYTimes LeBron story might, very sincerely, be the worst sports story ever written." (Speaking as a native Clevelander who produced a documentary on LeBron's departure, this writer can tell you she's a little weary of outsiders depicting the city as LeBron's brokenhearted girlfriend/abandoned puppy/etc.!)

So what's holding him back this time? ESPN's Chris Broussard reveals it's that darn Dan Gilbert letter that's still an issue for LeBron (3,992 shares). "Pro tip: Don’t mock someone in comic sans if you want them to work for you again," Wonkblog writer Matt O'Brien offered helpfully.

And in breaking sports news, the Liverpool Football Club revealed Luis Suarez will leave after a transfer agreement with FC Barcelona (13,785 shares).
