Journalism job moves for Tuesday

Here's what's happening in job switches today:

  • Rebecca Ruiz joins Mashable as a features writer focusing on gender, sexuality and equality. Read our complete write-up here.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the news industry:

  • The Philadelphia Inquirer has promoted both Gabriel Escobar and Sandra Clark to managing editors. Both will manage the content for the newspaper and Inquirer.com.
  • Ben Pershing joins National Journal as Washington editor on July 14. He was most recently a staff writer at The Washington Post.
  • Dan Newhauser will join National Journal as a Congress reporter in August. He is currently a staff writer who covers the House at Roll Call.
