More moves at The Atlantic

The Atlantic has advanced one and added another: Alexis Madrigal is promoted to deputy editor for the website, while Kathy Gilsinan joins as an associate editor. 

Madrigal first joined The Atlantic in 2010 as a senior editor on the tech beat. Prior to that, Madrigal served as a staff writer for

"Congrats to @alexismadrigal. Well deserved," Daily Dot's Micah Singleton replied to him.

Meanwhile, Gilsinan joins the team from World Politics Review, where she served as an associate editor since January of last year.

"Very excited: @kgilsinan is joining @TheAtlantic's Global channel today. Watch this space -- she's going to do great things," global editor Uri Friedman shared.

Tweeting her old newsroom, she shared, "miss you already, but couldn't be stokeder. Thanks for everything!"
