Question of the Day

Yesterday's question of the day asked: Who was the investigative reporter who pretended to be a rich sheikh in order to trick powerful people into spilling their secrets? That would be Mazher Mahmood, who was with the now defunct News of the World.

Congratulations to Ken Walker of the Tampa Bay Times for being the first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions go out to colleague Craig Pittman (who was only a split hair behind), Kirk AckersonJulie Webb-PullmanJack SchofieldCarrie Gray and Annie M. Dance, for all getting that right on the nose, as well!

As for today's question, here it is: Speaking of News of the World, what did the editor of the Pall Mall Gazette allegedly do to a copy of it in the 1890s?
