AP names Havana new bureau chief

The Associated Press has announced a new Havana bureau chief, its third since the wire service reopened in Cuba in 1999: Michael Weissenstein will move to Havana from Mexico City, where he is currently Mexico and Central America Correspondent.

Chile correspondent Luis Henao tweeted, "@AP names Michael Weissenstein to Havana bureau chief post #Cuba" before adding "felicitaciones."

Weissenstein replied, "Gracias Luis!"
