News couple trades LA for NYC

Two journalists who just so happen to be married have landed gigs in New York City. Editor Maria Russo rejoins the New York Times as children’s book editor for the New York Times Book Review, while husband Matthew DeBord is now transportation editor with Business Insider.

... Or as FishbowlNY put it, "Power couple alert: @Maria_C_Russo starts @nytimesbooks 8/4; husband @mattdebord joined @businessinsider 7/22."

Currently the editor in chief of Pasadena Magazine, Russo was previously editor for the Calendar section of the Los Angeles Times.

At the Times, Motoko Rich greeted her, "Congrats & welcome to NYT’s new children’s book editor, @Maria_C_Russo. Read her review of R.J. Palacio’s Wonder here."

Meanwhile, DeBord previously served as business and economy reporter with KPCC, among other vocations.

"Here it is: My first @businessinsider post," DeBord tweeted, sharing this link. "And it's about... @TeslaMotors!"

Congratulations to both!
