Mirror snares Solon from Wired UK

The Daily Mirror has nabbed Olivia Solon from Wired UK. Currently the deputy editor for Wired.co.uk, she will soon be a technology editor at Mirror.co.uk.

"Big news for me: after 4 years at @wireduk I'm leaving edit/shake up the @dailymirror's tech channel. Exciting / scary in equal measure!" Solon tweeted.

At Sky NewsTom Cheshire responded, "Great hiring by @dailymirror to get @olivia_solon, a proper star. Congrats to both."

But Engadget's Matt Brian couldn't resist asking, "Does that mean your colleagues can sing 'Solon, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye' when you leave, @olivia_solon?"

That'd be a nice touch.
