The Hill gets a new EIC

The Hill just revealed some big masthead news: Bob Cusack is now editor in chief. Managing editor of the paper since 2004, Cusack takes the reins from Hugo Gurdon, who departs for the Washington Examiner, where Gurdon will be editorial director.

"Thx for the tweets & emails. I'm excited & humbled to be named editor in chief at @thehill. A huge thx to @hgurdon, a mentor and friend," Cusack tweeted.

Columnist Judy Kurtz shared this fun tidbit from their "50 Most Beautiful" party last night: "@thehill's new Editor in Chief @BobCusack tells crowd at #50MB party if they didn't make the list 'get your beauty sleep' & try next year."

Looks like the publication is in good (and witty) hands!
