Question of the Day

Aug 04, 2014

Friday's question asked:While "Meet the Press" is one of America's longest-running and highest-rated network news talk shows, it actually started out as a radio promotion for what magazine? That would be American Mercury! That magazine finally went out of business in 1980, but Meet the Press continues to be successful, so it wasn't a completely wasted effort!

Congratulations to Edward Tenner for being the very first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions also go out to Annie M. DancePaul DelColleCraig PittmanIrene DeBlasioJeanne KirkRachel RohHollywood HighlandsAmy Zipkin, and Paul Boyd for all getting that right, as well.

As for today's question, here it is: Veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas began wearing her signature red clothing to press conferences during President Ronald Reagan’s administration. What prompted the sudden trend in fashion?
