Meanwhile, elsewhere in the industry:

  • Melody Petersen will join the LA Times as a business reporter covering the aerospace industry starting Aug. 26. Petersen is currently an investigative reporter on the education beat for the OC Register.
  • Meanwhile, Robert Faturechi will depart the LA Times to join ProPublica on Aug. 25 as a campaign finance reporter. Faturechi is currently a technology reporter for LAT.
