We remember Lauren Bacall

From the NY Times we learn that Lauren Bacall, Sultry Movie Star, has died at 89 (47,970 shares). "'Know what you learn if you’re a New Yorker? The world doesn’t owe you a damn thing.' Lauren Bacall. *Brilliant* obit," pronounced NYT's Ellen Barry. TMZ also had that story, but led with a much more recent photo of the actress. "A+ side eye. RIP, Lauren Bacall," tweets Claudia Koerner at the OC Register.

And that's when Slate informed us that Lauren Bacall was the last living icon name-dropped in Madonna's song "Vogue" (41,976 shares). With the loss of Bacall, all 16 "Golden Age" actors are now gone. "Sad & crazy fact of the day," Lynn Walsh reacts at Scripps.
