Spotlight newsroom: Publishers Weekly

Aug 19, 2014

Today we are pleased to take a quick peek at the tweeting newsroom behind Publishers Weekly, a weekly trade news magazine with a focus on book reviews. It was actually first founded by bibliographer Frederick Leypoldt in the late 1860s, but was published under several different titles until The Publishers' Weekly (note the apostrophe!) was selected in 1872. Today the most highly followed journalist there is Rachel DeahlDeals Columnist and News Director, followed by John A. Sellers, Children's Reviews Editor; Gabe HabashDeputy Reviews Editor; Mark RotellaSenior Editor; Andrew AlbaneseSenior Writer; and last but not least, Clare SwansonNews Editor.
