Yesterday's quake has us all shook up
Over the weekend a magnitude 6.0 earthquake was reported in Napa County (31,537 shares). The largest in the Bay Area in 25 years, this quake injured more than 100 people, damaged buildings in downtown Napa and Vallejo, and triggered a fire that engulfed six homes. "Scary news to wake up to: a 6.0 quake (!) hit Napa County this morning," Nick Turner admits at Bloomberg News.
San Francisco Chronicle's Jon Bonné has the story as winemakers evaluate Napa earthquake damage (2,086 shares). Also at Bloomberg, Laura Litvan laments, "Sad sight for wine lovers." And Jawbone data scientists are hot on the heels of one question: "How did the Napa earthquake affect sleep?" Re/code's Lauren Goode comments, "Not surprisingly, 93% of Jawbone UP wearers in Napa, Sonoma, Fairfield & Vallejo woke up at 3:20 a.m. last night."
