Guardian hires former Le Monde chief

Sep 10, 2014

The Guardian just appointed Natalie Nougayrède as columnist and foreign affairs commentator. Nougayrède begins Oct. 1 and joins from Le Monde, where she recently stepped down in May as executive editor and managing editor.

WSJ's Matthew Kaminski called it, "@lemondefr's loss, @GuardianUS's big catch: @nnougayrede joins the Guardian."

"Welcome to the Guardian @nnougayrede . You realise you'll have to start tweeting now," Guardian's Julian Borger teased.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
