Featured journalist: Noah Guiney

Today we'd like to introduce you to Noah Guiney, freelance journalist and correspondent working on the opinion section for the Boston Globe. Specializing in local and state politics as well as Boston's tech scene, Guiney has also previously served as a theater editor and critic at the Harvard Crimson. He says he's always open to pitches, but tends to find his own stories on Reddit and Twitter. As for Guiney's advice to aspiring journalists, it's this: "Keep hustling. And don't be bashful about reaching out to editors. Also, never turn down a cup of coffee. With anyone." Stop by his Muck Rack portfolio and check out some of his enticing work, starting with the handy post "The rent is too damn high: Why Boston needs to be affordable" (1,647 shares) and the controversial reflection "Satan statue should be welcome in Oklahoma" (3,188 shares).

Remember: If you also want to be featured here, you should 1) set up your own journalist portfolio 2) get verified and 3) let us know by emailing Kirsten.
