Vikings change their mind overnight ... literally

The Vikings backtracked over night and announced they would deactivate Adrian Peterson indefinitely (7,298 shares) via a statement released after midnight (1,284 shares). "While you were sleeping #MinnesotaVikings changed decision on #AdrianPeterson, can't play during child abuse case. Claire Kellett explains at KMOV 4 St. Louis. The timing has left some members of the media less than pleased. "#Vikings owners issued this statement re deactivating AP at 2 am! Ownership has butchered this entire situation," complains Toronto Sun sports columnist Mike Zeisberger. "To paraphrase Dungy, nothing good happens in announcements after 2 a.m.," concludes Tampa Bay Times sports reporter Greg Auman.
