Question of the Day

Friday's question asked: In 1832, journalist Charles Havas founded the world's first major private news agency, Agence Havas. It was important to inform readers of stock prices as quickly as possible, but seeing as Twitter didn't exist yet, Havas had to resort to something else instead to transport this information. What did he use? The correct answer to that was carrier pigeons!

Congratulations to Edward Tenner for being the very first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions also go out to Dan RosenbaumHollywood HighlandsMarilyn ParelFrancis HincheyKen WalkerAnnie M. Dance, and Carrie Gray for getting that right, as well. Great job, everyone.

As for today's question, here it is, with thanks to regular QOTD participant Francis Hinchey for submitting it: Where did American president FDR win his club championship as a golfer before he was stricken with polio at age 39?
