Journalism job moves for Wednesday
So many big moves in the industry today, but here are two of the biggest:
- Another day, another get for Fusion TV, who just announced Atlantic's Alexis Madrigal will join as Silicon Valley bureau chief and anchor of a show. Read our complete write-up here.
- Amid rampant recent changes at Politico, here's one of the best: Blake Hounshell is promoted to editorial director for digital. Read our complete write-up here.
Still plenty of other recent prominent moves, though:
- New York Times' Jennifer Preston will join the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, where she will serve as vice president for journalism. Preston is currently the Times' social media editor (their very first one, to be precise).
- Business Insider adds Taylor Lorenz as a technology reporter based in New York at first, then transitioning to San Francisco. Lorenz presently serves as Head of Social Media for the Daily Mail.
Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
