New York Times taps new digital deputy

Oct 16, 2014

The New York Times has found a new deputy international editor, and it's one of the innovation report's authors. Most recently Deputy Editor, Digital Operations, Amy O'Leary will number among the elite charged with leading the Times' next digital push.

"Congrats to @amyoleary who'll be applying her many ninja skills to her new role as Deputy International Editor for Digital @nytimesworld," predicted Corner Office columnist Adam Bryant.

"She's among the first of the NYT's digital deputies," pointed out Poynter's Ben Mullin.

Also according to Poynter, when the innovation report first leaked, O'Leary thought she was out of a job. Fortunately, that has turned out to be anything but the case!
