Boston Mag journo boards Boston Globe

Oct 20, 2014

Janelle Nanos just departed Boston Magazine, but she isn't headed far: the former senior editor joins Boston Globe as the new editor of their Beta Boston team.

"Today is my last day at @BostonMagazine. But: I'm moving to the @BostonGlobe to take the helm of @BetaBoston," Nanos tweeted on Friday, bookending her post with the hashtags #Bittersweet and #excited.

Former colleague Jason Schwartz (now at ESPN) responded, "Gonna start a rumor that @JanelleNanos HATES it when people say 'disrupt' and 'innovate.' (No, not really, @BetaBoston is very lucky, obvi.)"

At her new workplace, Scott Kirsner also shared, "New editor of @BetaBoston is @JanelleNanos, moving over from Boston Mag. She wrote this piece recently on @jebbit."

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
