Journalism job moves for Friday

Oct 24, 2014

It's the weekend at last! Here are the final highlights in job moves:

  • In a "cross-pollination" where the The New York Times' media desk is absorbed into Biz Day, the Times has named media editor Peter Lattman deputy business editor. Read our complete write-up here.
  • The Florida Times-Union welcomes back Tia Mitchell of The Tampa Bay Times, this time as Tallahassee bureau chief. Read our complete write-up here.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the industry:

  • Jonathan Dahl joins OZY as managing editor. Dahl was most recently executive director for The Wall Street Journal and editor in chief of WSJ Money.
  • CQ Weekly has poached Mike Magner as managing editor. Magner is currently serving in the same role for the National Journal.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
