BuzzFeed snares AJAM's Azmat Khan

Oct 29, 2014

Azmat Khan joins up with BuzzFeed's investigative team on Dec. 2 as an investigative reporter. Currently a senior digital producer and reporter with Al Jazeera America's flagship show America Tonight, Khan will trade her Washington, D.C. home for one in New York when she makes the move.

BuzzFeed investigations editor Mark Schoofs was the first to announce the news on Twitter, tweeting, "Thrilled that @AzmatZahra is joining the @BuzzFeedNews investigative team."

"@AzmatZahra is joining BuzzFeed's investigative reporting team!" chimed in data producer Jeremy Singer-Vine, in the process also sharing, "Her great piece on Detroit's invisible creditors."

"Congrats @AzmatZahra for joining @BuzzFeedNews Investigative Team. Great hire. However, bittersweet - we will miss her awesomeness at @ajam," admits AJAM's Wajahat Ali.

"Aw, why you gotta make me all weepy?" Khan replied.
