Fusion TV's tech bureau taps two

Continuing to impress the media world, Fusion TV beefs up its Silicon Valley bureau by adding two more: New York Magazine’s Kevin Roose and ForbesKashmir Hill. "That’s quite an SF bureau for @ThisIsFusion," NYT's Lydia Polgreen observes.

Previously the lead business writer for NYMag.com, Roose now joins Fusion as a co-executive producer charged with developing a TV show to be produced and hosted by Silicon Valley Bureau Chief Alexis Madrigal.

"Fusion is the most ambitious new project in media today, and I'm excited to be the 478th smartest person there," Roose tweeted.

In response to which, Christopher Mims with WSJ demanded to know, "what are they building over there, an atomic bomb?"

Finishing up at Forbes as senior online editor, Hill will join the tech bureau as senior editor, charged with "mostly writing, and helping Alexis dream up interesting events."

"Scoop from @Recode: The incredible @kevinroose is heading to Fusion. And apparently some random lady too," she humbly joked on Twitter.

Clearly information law expert William McGeveran thinks of Hill as much more than "some random lady," though: "Consistent must-read privacy journalist @kashhill jumping to @ThisIsFusion. Congratulations all around!"
