Journalism job moves for Wednesday

Nov 05, 2014

Here are some career highlights for you to read this morning:

  • The New York Times has named Michael Slackman (right) as its very first international managing editor. Currently the Times' deputy international editor, Slackman will help lead global coverage both print and digital in this newly created role.
  • Newsweek welcomes Polly Mosendz as a staff writer. Mosendz was previously associate editor for The Atlantic.
  • Kate Smith joins Bloomberg News as a reporter on the municipal bonds and public finance beats. Smith comes from The Bond Buyer, where she served as a senior market reporter.

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
