Question of the Day
Yesterday's question asked, with thanks to Francis Hinchey for submitting it in honor of legendary movie director Mike Nichols, who has died at 83: Nichols was one of a handful of artists whose body of work earned an exclusive honor. What was this unique bragging right? That would be an "EGOT"--he numbers among the elite few (12!) who have received at least one Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. You needed to say either "EGOT" or list all four to receive credit!
Congratulations for a fourth time to Ken Walker of the Tampa Bay Times for being the very first to answer that correctly! Honorable mentions also go out to John Wall, Thomas Feyer, Claudine Laforce, Michelle Hals, Kevin Simmons, Hiram Reisner, Dan Rosenbaum (who jokes "Also known as Larry King's 1st 4 wives"), Alva Lewis, Ryan Gorman, Lori Nash Byron, Hollywood Highlands, Marty Ray, Charlotte LoBuono, Margo Howard (who actually answered "an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy, and a partridge in a pear tree," but it was too funny not to quote), Ron Casalotti, Cindi Lash, Amy Zipkin and Jennifer Mascia for all getting that right as well!
As for today's question, here it is: Minnesotans are hopping mad at the New York Times for claiming which dish represents their state's contribution to the Thanksgiving table?
