WaPo's Weiss joins The Justice Network

Brian Weiss departs The Washington Post as well as Washington, D.C. overall for a role at the brand new TV startup The Justice Network in Atlanta. Weiss joins as director of distribution and business development in early 2015. Part-public service and part-news, the network will focus on crime and court-related programming with a goal to catch criminals, find missing children and spread public service announcements.

"Some very exciting personal and professional news to be thankful for: I've accepted a new role with the Justice Network, a new broadcast entertainment network headquartered in Atlanta," Weiss posts to Facebook. "While I'm genuinely bummed to leave The Post and have had a wonderful 13 years in DC, I'm looking forward to the next chapter."

"Good luck to a great guy," tweets Ken Sands with The Chronicle of Higher Education.
