Pope-Chappell departs WSJ for LinkedIn

Maya Pope-Chappell is hanging up her Wall Street Journal stippled hedcut to join the business social networking world of LinkedIn. Previously the Wall Street Journal's Asia Social Media and Analytics Editor, Pope-Chappell's new role will be that of New York-based editor. 

By way of announcement, she tweeted, "I loved my time @WSJ, but after nearly 5 years, I've decided to take on a new role @LinkedIn in NYC. Very excited about what's to come..."

"Congrats! There is life after WSJ," responded Fortune's Alan Murray.

"Can't wait for Maya Pope-Chappell to hop aboard this crazy ride!" reacts LinkedIn senior editor John Abell.
