Bryan Bishop returns to The Verge

Dec 03, 2014

A mere five months after leaving The Verge, Bryan Bishop will return like the prodigal son. In July Bishop joined The Hollywood Reporter as news director for, but starting Dec. 15 Bishop will be a senior reporter at his previous publication again.

"Amazing news to share: I'm heading back to The Verge!" he tweeted, sharing a Tumblr post titled "Back to the Future." He writes, "Watching the site grow and evolve this year with initiatives like TL;DR and Hack Week (not to mention the influx of brilliant editorial talent) has been exciting. The only thing better? Returning to the Vox Media family to help forge that future firsthand."

One person especially happy to have him back is Silicon Valley editor Casey Newton, who responded to the news, "Welcome BACK to The Verge, @bcbishop! ... And NEVER leave me again."

Don’t forget - if you change your job in journalism or move to a different news organization, be sure to email Kirsten (kirsten [at] sawhorsemedia [dot] com) so we can reflect your new title. News job changes only, please! Thanks!
