Fabulous four to Fusion

It's Fusion friday! All right, so we like alliteration. Fusion network just hired a fierce four to its roster (clockwise from left): Hillary Frey and Danielle Friedman of NBC News, documentary producer Orlando de Guzman, and comedy writer Akilah Hughes.

Currently wrapping up as editorial director for NBCNews.com, Frey will join the network as director of global news operations.

"I am joining @ThisIsFusion! Will miss all of my amazing colleagues at @NBCNews but excited for big new gig," Frey tweets.

"I for one welcome my new overlord," responds senior editor Felix Salmon.

Meanwhile, former NBC.com senior editor Friedman has already started as a senior editor at Fusion.

"Thrilled to officially announce that I've joined @ThisIsFusion to run health, sex and relationships coverage!" she tweets.

Documentarian de Guzman teams up with director of media innovation Tim Pool’s breaking news video squad as director and senior producer.

"Looking forward to meeting y'all and excited to work together. Love from Ferguson," de Guzman tweets from Missouri.

Last but not least, Hughes joins Dodai Stewart’s culture team charged with covering entertainment and making videos (something she's already awesome at doing).

"SO EXCITED @AkilahObviously is coming to @ThisIsFusion ! if you've never seen First Black Girlfriend watch now," Stewart commands.
