Today's question of the day

Yesterday's question asked: This night on CBS, a program that first aired 50 years ago will feature an animal that just got its own postage stamp in addition to its history-making TV show as its claim to fame. What/who is this animal? That would be Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer who did indeed "go down in history," of course.

Congratulations to Dan Rosenbaum of for being the very first to get that right! Honorable mentions also go out to Paul BoydCraig Pittman (who called Rudolph "the famous misfit"), Marilyn ParelKen WalkerJohn WallValerie ChereskinAnna Reitman (good guess, Anna!), Eve ByronRachel RohCharlotte LoBuonoBecky YerakMike McCallisterEthan ShoreyAnn-Marie SedorHollywood Highlands and Judyth Mermelstein for all getting that right, as well!

As for today's question, here it is: Recently a deep-space spacraft got a unique wakeup call from its interstellar hibernation to prepare for the closest encounter yet of Pluto, a dwarf planet. The spacecraft has traveled more than 3 billion miles during a nine-year flight to its historic visit of Pluto. How did the spacecraft wake up?
