A media in mourning, and more

Dec 12, 2014

Today we are mourning the loss of two journalists: the first is Michel du Cille, the Pulitzer-winning Washington Post photojournalist who has died of a heart attack in Liberia while covering the plight of Africa's Ebola patients. The second is Dominic Di-Natale, the Fox News correspondent who covered everything from Osama bin Laden’s compound to demonstrations in Egypt’s Tahrir Square. Di-Natale reportedly took his own life. Our thoughts are with their loved ones and those of everyone their reporting touched.

Elsewhere, Politico asks, "Is Charles Johnson a digital Darth Vader?" Meanwhile, Gawker discusses the cost of #Gamergate. And in case you missed it, the pope just answered the question of whether all dogs go to heaven.

Oh, and Clickhole gave us the best and very much needed laugh after a very rough day.
